Yesterday my wife and I returned home from 12 amazing days in Weatherford, Texas. We are so thankful that God opened that door for us and gave us the opportunity to spend a week as volunteer production assistants on the set of The Chosen. It was one of the greatest trips we have ever taken. We met a lot of great people and made new friends, we learned a lot more than we expected and we had an incredible amount of fun. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming to us.

One thing I extremely enjoy about being on set and among filmmakers is: You are surrounded by a crew that is extremely professional and hard working, and at the same time extremely playful, always goofing around and just totally having fun. Although it was extremely hot and the days were long (a shooting day usually is 10-12 hours), it didn't feel like work.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made this trip so special for us and took the time to give us insight into your work and life on such a big set! It's not easy to join an already operating and finely tuned team, but we really hope we could be at least a little help here and there!
